Backyard Breeze is a quick, layer cake-friendly quilt that can be scrappy or modern, depending on the fabric you chose. BlocLoc rulers are essential for cutting this quilt out and we’ll have some available for you to try. They make the process accurate and speedy. Home Ec.  will also have the rulers for sale.

Please bring one or two layer cakes or already-cut 10” squares to class—one layer cake (or 42-10” squares) will give you a great baby quilt, while two layer cakes (or 84-10” squares) will create a 72” square quilt. You want some contrasting fabrics—see photos for examples. We’ll learn techniques for cutting and stitching the blocks and you’ll leave class with several sewn blocks and be well on your way to having a finished quilt top. BlocLoc rulers available at Home Ec. 

Supplies Needed: Fabric cut in 10” squares (either precut layer cakes or cut-your-own—see above),  Half Rectangle BlocLoc Rulers (2:1 large 4.5”x 8.5”); Basic Quilting Kit (rotary cutter, thread, seam ripper, pins, marking pen, scissors)

Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes but can offer a credit for a future class if you cancel within 72 hours of the start of class.   If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance in order to get a credit for another class. Otherwise we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
