In this class students will work on piecing together small quilts or blocks using improvisational techniques...you can improv a traditional block or work organically responding to the fabrics and sewing as you go.  The small quilts will then be hand quilted onto batting.  The quilted pieces will be framed with fabric and stretched around canvas resulting in a finished, ready to hang small original (12" x 12") quilt!  All supplies will be included, but if you have a particular type of fabric or colors in mind, please bring those fabrics along.  


Supplies Needed:  Please bring a basic sewing kit (scissors, seam ripper, thread, pins, marking pen and a bobbin purchased at Home Ec. if using our machines), embroidery floss or perle cotton.  We will have a ton of scrap fabric for you to use, but if you have something particular in mind bring those fabrics along.  We will provide batting, 12" x 12" canvas to stretch your quilt on to, staples, and a quilting needle.

Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes you register for but are unable to attend. If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance of the first meeting to get a credit for another class. Otherwise, we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
