The Kite Pants Pattern, by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club is beginner-friendly and designed for quick, satisfying makes with effortless everyday style. Featuring a high-waisted, ankle-length fit with a softly curved leg, elastic waistband, and four pockets, it also includes a unique side inset ideal for patchworking or color-blocking. Comfortable, modern, and versatile—these pants are perfect for all-day wear in any season.

*Please come to class with your pattern cut out. (be sure to prewash your fabric!)

*If you come to class with your pattern cut out it maximizes your working time in class. If you need help choosing your pattern size or need assistance with cutting we are always happy to help! You are welcome to come into Home Ec Workshop to cut out anytime except when there’s a class in the workshop.

*If your fabric is the same on both sides, be sure to mark which side is the wrong side with an x (using a fabric pen) or a small piece of tape.

Supplies needed: 

*Pattern-This is a PDF ONLY PATTERN AND MUST BE PURCHASED FROM MATCY MATCHY SEWING CLUB HERE.  We recommend having it printed at a local copy shop using the copy shop version provided in the PDF pattern.  Please come to class with the pattern instructions printed.  

*Fabric Per pattern requirements

Mid to heavy weight cotton, linenen or blends ...This pattern is especially fun for patchwork, scrap-busting, and color blocking.

1.5" (4 cm) elastic- your waist measurement plus a few inches for overlap.

*Basic Sewing Kit (scissors, marking pen, thread, seam ripper, pins, bobbin -purchased at Home Ec if using our machines)

Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes you register for but are unable to attend. If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance of the first meeting to get a credit for another class. Otherwise, we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
