Looking to elevate your skills in the new year? The Plover Pouch by Noodlehead is a fun and functional zipper pouch with 3 sizes to sew! Use it as a toiletry pouch, a project bag, or to corral your craft notions! All sizes have a divided mesh interior pocket, perfect for keeping your supplies or toiletries organized. The medium and large sizes also have an interior zippered pocket. Learn how to sew a gusset, two different ways to install a zipper (if you make the medium or large size), and how to install snaps.

Skill Level: Intermediate 
 

Recommended Fabrics:

Quilting cotton, cotton/linen blend (up to 6.5 oz. weight) for Exterior and Accent fabrics. Quilting cotton for Lining fabric.

Please come to class with your fabric cut out and your interfacing attached. If you plan on washing your pouch, you may want to wash your fabric before cutting it out.

*If you come to class with your pattern cut out it maximizes your working time in class. If you need help choosing your pattern size or need assistance with cutting we are always happy to help! You are welcome to come into Home Ec Workshop to cut out anytime except when there’s a class going on in the workshop. If you need assistance cutting out your pattern or would like to use our cutting tables,  we are happy to help anytime there is not a class in the workshop.

Supplies Needed: 

Plover Pouch Pattern - PDF pattern available HERE (please print out before coming to class), fabric and supplies per pattern (using both woven interfacing and fusible fleece makes it extra sturdy!), basic sewing kit (Pins, scissors, seam ripper, thread and marking pen) , Rachel has snaps you can use, if you'd like!

  • Small: 8” wide by 2 ¾” deep, 6” tall [20.3 x 7 x 15.2 cm]

  • Medium: 10” wide by 3 ½” deep, 7 ½” tall [25.4 x 8.9 x 19.1 cm]

  • Large: 12 ½” wide by 4” deep, 8 ½” tall [31.8 x 10.2 x 21.6 cm]


Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes but can offer a credit for a future class if you cancel within 72 hours of the start of class. If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance in order to get a credit for another class. Otherwise we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
