Whether you're a beginner or an experienced quilter looking to refine your skills, this class is designed to guide you through the process of making a quilt from start to finish. During this class you will learn fundamental techniques of quilt piecing, machine and/or hand quilting, and gain confidence in creating a finished binding. This throw sized quilt finishes at 68" x 68", but can easily be made smaller (or larger if you feel extra ambitious!!). It is a perfect quilt for using up scrap fabrics, charm packs, layer cakes or fat quarters.
*you will need to work outside of class time to finish--the workshop and machines can be used outside of class meetings while enrolled in a class at Home Ec.
Supplies Needed: Fabric (front, back and binding) per pattern requirements. Amounts will differ depending on the version you choose or if you change the size. , batting, rotary cutter, ruler, curved safety pins, basic sewing kit (pins, marking pen, seam ripper, scissors, thread). We will be using the XOXO pattern by Alexia Abegg. Please download the pattern HERE and come to class with it printed out.
