Knitting: Intarsia Knit House Block

Knitting: house block pattern

With Lilah Ward Shepherd

Feb 15 & Feb 226:00-7:30
$100 + supplies (pattern included in class cost)

In this two session class you will learn to knit a house block using the pattern Safe at Home Blanket By Margaret Holzmann.  The blocks can be made individually or in strips to create pillows or blankets.   Techniques used and taught in this class are garter stitch, Intarsia knitting with multiple colors of yarn, picking up stitches and decreasing stitches with left leaning and right leaning decreases. This is a great stash busting project.

Supplies Needed:
5 colors of yarn & corresponding sizes knitting needles. The pattern suggests worsted weight yarn & US Size 7,  but I’ve made the pattern using fingering weight yarn & size US2/2.75mm knitting needles, tapestry or embroidery needle.

You will receive 15% off all supplies purchased at Home Ec. for this class
