These thick cozy socks are perfect for the fast approaching Iowa winter. Socks can be easier and faster to knit than you imagine. This class is for anyone who can knit and purl stitches. You can knit socks, I promise, And with the Spree Sock pattern by Kemper Wray you can knit a sock from cast on to cast off over the span of this month long class. You will be learning to knit in the round using double pointed needles, k1p1 rib stitch, to decrease stitches, the basics of sock knitting, creating a heel flat, turning the heel, knitting the gusset, decreasing for the toes, and a seamless casting off method using the Kitchener stitch.

Supplies Needed: stitch markers, double pointed knitting needles and yarn.  If choosing DK weight yarn you will need double pointed US 4 needles (additional double pointed US 3 needles optional) If choosing worsted weight yarn you will need double pointed US 5 needles (additional double pointed US 4 needles optional)...or sizes need to achieve gauge.

Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes but can offer a credit for a future class if you cancel within 72 hours of the start of class. If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance in order to get a credit for another class. Otherwise we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
