The Strata top is the perfect introduction to garment sewing. This simple but elegant pattern has 3 pieces and will become a staple of your wardrobe and a great pattern for confident beginners. The uniquely curved hem adds elegance... Keep things uncomplicated with a version in a lightweight linen blend, cotton ikat, or drape woven – or use the fabric as your canvas. Try using beloved scraps to piece together your own storied fabric. Enjoy both the craft and the art.
*Please come to class with your fabric washed, dried, ironed, and cut out and ready to sew
*If you come to class with your pattern cut out it maximizes your working time in class. If you need help choosing your fabric or need assistance with cutting we are always happy to help! You are welcome to come into Home Ec Workshop to cut out anytime except when there’s a class going on in the workshop. Elizabeth works at Home Ec. Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, 2:30-6 pm, and is happy to help. If that day doesn’t work for you the rest of the staff is very knowledgeable, kind and happy to help too. We also offer Open Sew classes which are another great option if you need assistance. You can find out when the next one is coming up in our class listings.
Supplies Needed: Fabric and supplies per pattern, basic Sewing kit (Pins, scissors, seam ripper, thread and marking pen)

Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited enrollment of our classes, we do not offer refunds on classes you register for but are unable to attend. If you register for a class and can’t come, you must call us 72 hours* in advance of the first meeting to get a credit for another class. Otherwise, we are unable to offer refunds, credit or exchanges—you can, however, spread some joy and send a friend in your place.
