Sew Lab: Patterns

Sew Lab: Patterns
With Elizabeth Munger
$32,  two hour class
(1 session workshop)
Saturday, November 12, 1-3pm

Masks Required

Sew Lab is a two hour discussion based class (if we finish early we can use the rest of the time to workshop projects you'd like help with, or do a little sewing). Each class will focus on a theme such as; zippers, fabric, how to measure, etc… This class is meant to move us all forward in our sewing journey.

Please keep in mind this is not a sewing class or a private lesson, but an opportunity to learn and participate in indepth conversations and share with your peers about better sewing techniques and practices. I will facilitate the initial conversation with the hope that you will join in the discussion along with adding your own experiences and resolutions to problems you have encountered.

Let us move forward in our quest to become a more skilled maker together.

Subject of conversation: Patterns

How do you cut out patterns? Do you use scissors or a rotary cutter? Do you trace your pattern or cut the original? Fabric prep, is it worth it? These are some of the questions we will address in this session. Please email questions you would like me to address that have anything in relation to patterns. Definitely bring your work arounds, resolutions and practices to share.

Pattern you are working on and have questions about, (for discussion).
