The Schoolhouse Tunic features front and back pleats, 3/4-length sleeves with optional elastic gathering at the cuff, and an open bodice perfect for layering over your favorite camisole or tank. Brioche Knitting: Two Color

Monday, January 16, 6 – 8 p.m.

Learn a new way to use color in your knitting. This exciting technique uses slipped stitches and yarnovers to create a reversible fabric that’s perfect for scarves, shawls, hats, and blankets. Once you learn how to do it, it becomes easier and faster than your basic rib! Bring contrasting colors of yarn and needles to work on a swatch or get started on a scarf.

Charity Block Class

Sunday, December 11, 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Want to make a quilt block and make a difference? For a $15 donation you can to learn how to make a split nine -patch block from one of our quilt group gals. This easy quilt block quickly gives even the beginning quilter impressive results! We will teach all participants how to make this basic block, which you can either take home with you, or donate to our “Furry Friends” fundraiser. Blocks will be incorporated into a quilt, with all financial donations going directly towards a “Knitter’s Gift Basket”.

Learn to take an image and create a silkscreen. Print an image that you bring on T-shirts, scarves, bags etc.  We will have jersey t-shirts and scarves you can purchase to print on, or bring your favorite tees from home!  Bring a Xerox copy of a high contrast, black and white image. (no larger than 7.5″x10″)

Fabric Gift Tags

Wednesday, December 14, 6 – 8 p.m.

$20, all supplies included

Learn to make gift tags using fabric scraps, pretty paper and just about anything else that will fit into your sewing machine. Each participant should go home with completed gift tags. Bring your favorite fabric scraps, paper, ribbon, or other such items to include with the provided supplies.

Wool Felt Ornaments

Thursday, December 15, 6 – 8 p.m.

$22 all supplies included

Make two adorable appliquéd ornaments using wool felt, embroidery floss and buttons.  These are super FAST and super CUTE decorations and gifts.  Make up your own pattern for your ornaments or choose from Home Ec’s library of ornament patterns.

Screen Printed Gift Bags

Screen print a variety of our holiday-themed images onto cotton bags for re-useable gift wrapping. Two bags included in class fee with more available, sold separately.
