Socks Toe Up, Two-at-a-Time

If you already know how to knit, purl and cast on, you can learn to knit socks from the toe-up, two-at-a-time on two circular needles.  Use worsted weight yarn and two pairs of US 4 circular needles, 24″ or longer.  It helps if one is bamboo and one metal.

Learn the basics of knitting or improve your knitting skills by getting started on a challenging project.  Beginners can work on a scarf or hat and more advanced knitters can choose any pattern

On her website, catbordhi.com, Bordhi explains, “Don’t believe the myth that twisting your join creates a Moebius. A twisted cast-on has a full 360 degrees of twist, while a Moebius has half that. And it matters, if you love grace and magic. Like any loop, a Moebius has one opening, but it has only one surface and only one edge (unlike any other loop). And this makes all the difference. If I had one word for the true Moebius, it would be grace.”  Bring US 10, 40 – 47” circular needles and one skein of DK/Sport Weight yarn (50g)  Learn the moebius cast on and how to knit this amazing lacy cowl.

Screen Printing

Learn to take an image and create a silkscreen. Print an image that you bring on T-shirts, scarves, bags etc.  We will have jersey t-shirts and scarves you can purchase to print on, or bring your favorite tees from home!  Bring a Xerox copy of a high contrast, black and white image. (not larger than 7.5”x10”)
