Brioche Knitting: Two Color

Learn a new way to use color in your knitting. This exciting technique uses slipped stitches and yarnovers to create a reversible fabric that’s perfect for scarves, shawls, hats, and blankets. Once you learn how to do it, it becomes easier and faster than your basic rib! Bring contrasting colors of yarn and needles to work on a swatch or get started on a scarf.

Screen Printing

Learn to take an image and create a silkscreen. Print an image that you bring on T-shirts, scarves, bags etc. We will have jersey t-shirts and scarves you can purchase to print on, or bring your favorite tees from home! Bring a Xerox copy of a high contrast, black and white image. (no larger than 7.5″x10″)
Fabric Gift Tags
Wednesday, December 14, 6 – 8 p.m.
$20, all supplies included
Learn to make gift tags using fabric scraps, pretty paper and just about anything else that will fit into your sewing machine. Each participant should go home with completed gift tags. Bring your favorite fabric scraps, paper, ribbon, or other such items to include with the provided supplies.
Wool Felt Ornaments
Thursday, December 15, 6 – 8 p.m.

Make two adorable appliquéd ornaments using wool felt, embroidery floss and buttons. These are super FAST and super CUTE decorations and gifts. Make up your own pattern for your ornaments or choose from Home Ec’s library of ornament patterns.

Pot Holders
Learn how to make pot holders completely by machine, using the same machine binding technique that can be used to finish a quilt. Stephanie’s easy techniques will show you how to finish your pot holders (or quilts) in a jiffy. Supplies included are enough for two finished pot holders.
