Mini Doll Cakes

Saturday, June 26

11 am to 1 pm

Learn some basic cake decorating as you create your own mini doll cake to take home.  Use decorating tips, bags, frosting & sprinkles.

Build a Ship

Noon to 2 pm (two-part class)

Use your imagination to design and construct a ship and sail out of paper mache’, paint, fabric and buttons.

Ages 5 and up

Easy Peasy Market Tote

6 to 9 pm

Make this lined tote bag to use as a sturdy carry all for your shopping, crafting and summer fun.  This bag works well made out of most fabrics including laminated cottons.  An excellent project for beginning and experienced sewers.

Mend or Make Do

5 to 7 pm

Learn simple repairs and alteration techniques to extend the life of your wardrobe.

Instructor- Brittany Burggraaf from Knotty Sisters

$20, Bring clothing in need of repair or alteration.

Kings and Queens of the Prairie

2 to 4 pm

Students will learn how to make crowns out of various materials as well as sew and design their own royal cape.

Ages 5 and up

$25 + one yard each of two different fabrics

Woodland Animal Pillows

3 to 5 pm

Ages 5 and up (adults and/or kids)
Students will make a stuffed, decorative pillow in the animal shape of their choice.  It can be a bird, squirrel, fox, bear, rabbit, or an imagined creature.

Skirts or Shorts

9 am to noon

Learn machine sewing and how to make a skirt or shorts that you wear all summer long! Ages 8 and older.

Felt Crowns

6 to 7:30 pm

Make this adorable crown to help celebrate birthdays or any occasion!  This crown is constructed with 100% wool felt and is machine stitched and hand embellished.

Learn to Knit

6 to 8 pm (three-part class)

Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off while making a scarf or a cotton washcloth. Or if you already know the basics, take your skills to the next level and get help on the challenging pattern of your choice.  All ages welcome!

Entrelac-tastic

1 to 4 pm; 1 to 2 pm (two-part class)

Want to create a colorful patchwork scarf? Making an entrelac scarf is a fun easy way to brighten up your winter season! This is a perfect class for beginning knitters ready to take their skills to the next level.  A worsted weight yarn is recommended with a pair of US size 7 or 8 straight needles. Sample is knit in Noro Silk Garden. Students should be comfortable with knitting stockinette stitch. This two-part class includes a demo for how to block a scarf once it’s finished. Taught by Jillian Chapman.
